Replacement Turbo

Recommended Posts

Can't view ebay here at work.

Most of us recommend you send your turbo to JmP6889928 and have him rebuild it.

PM him.

Hello,

I am starting research to replace/rebuild the stock turbo and stumbled upon this in my search.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/301840266045

Has anyone seen it before or have any info on it? Thanks!

That's just a cartridge. I would do what Max suggests and reach out to JMP, he should be able to guide you to the right answer.

Cost difference between a built/rebuilt stocker vs a 52?

I was never really considering a turbo upgrade, have to save some money for my own business. But if pricing is not that different that might be an option.

As soon as I seal up my TGV's this weekend and kill that leak I'll be looking at next steps.

The 52 is a fun ride. There is a noticeable difference between my cars. The wagon is much more responsive and really pushes you back in the seat.

The Spec is tuned by the same tuner, but has the stock vf46. They both have the GS tmic and Invidia DP. Both on stock fueling.

Here's my chart with the vf52.

The car is much fun in 2nd gear when passing someone on the back roads. 2nd and 3rd gear are so much fun. Even taking off from a stop sign, give it about 3/4 throttle and your doing 60+mph with no real fuss. Just 3 quick shifts.
