LuckyLouie
I've seen some Leggys with the roof blackened outt I assume is a wrap job. Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost? Also, what is your preference, gloss or matte? In a 06' LGT Satin Pearl White, would you consider any other color?
coldsoda
this is VERY much a personal preference question. I wouldn't do one at all, only because it isn't my taste. I'm sure there are a lot of options near you though for wraps. You could check your regional forum and see if there are some recommended shops in the area of LA. If you do go with a wrap, post up some pics after. With some heat and elbow grease, you may be able to DIY just a roof panel yourself?
nba0203
its probably different in CA but where i am it ranges from $200-$300 and i would do gloss black with white ive seen some with it done and looks good
quick4dr
any color vinyl can be done. Big thing to watch for on Leggacy is because we have no drip channels to follow the vinyl must be hand cut and contoured to match our roofline. done well it looks great, done poorly and it will look terrible
Richard_Mtl
One of the 6th gen members did a nice job on this.
LuckyLouie
Thanks, quick4dr, that is good advice. Also, thanks to Richard_Mtl for the link to the other post. I am leaning towards gloss rather than matte. I think it looks more "OEM" and not so "modded".
LuckyLouie
Here I go! Done at Wrapitup Graphics / Culver Detail (on Venice Blvd., just west of La Cienega). Picked a black metallic film, left the car for a couple of hours and Alex (@wrapitup_la) threw in an engine bay cleanup and even a leftover piece of film big enough for the hood scoop, the next part to be wrapped. Cellphone pics only for now. http://www.calado.net/temp/soobie/sub1.jpg http://www.calado.net/temp/soobie/sub2.jpg http://www.calado.net/temp/soobie/sub3.jpg
