Scruit
Is the 2001 motor turbo? If not, the compression ratio may be too high. (Turbo engines have a lower CR, assuming they will be under additional compression from the turbo)
mod boss
No 2001 is not a turbo But I thought it would be worth looking into some since there both ej25s and was gonna try to just swap the core out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Max Capacity
Try and look at a head gasket from each engine, see if the water jackets match up. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. RustyRuu
you would have to swap the pistons out to get the proper compression ratio. you would be lucky if you had all the same sizes of pistons. i.e. your gt could be an AAAA motor and the 02 block could be a BBBB block. people do make those blocks though, you will be using a completely open deck though on the 02 block, your gt is semi closed. i know the people that do build those are more of the dune buggie/ sand rail builders. so maybe just search google for subaru sandrails engines or something
charlie91
your 06 turbo block has an extra crank case vent and dished pistons, it will not be a direct swap with pcv.
