sjscott.41888 Posted March 6, 2016 Share Posted March 6, 2016 I know there is lots of info on here of what springs/struts fit what vehicles, but I can't seem to find anything recent enough to give me an answer. Does anyone know if the springs from a 2010 WRX can be swapped onto a 1998 Legacy? I can't see a visible difference when comparing pictures but I have the feeling they are physically way different somehow. I think the struts for the 2010 are a good bit narrower, meaning the diameter of the spring is smaller on the 2010. The spring on the 98 is pretty large and the strut has notches in the spring plate to keep the spring from spinning, even if the 2010 spring was the right height, it has to be nearly the exact same diameter otherwise it will be able to spin freely on the 98 spring plate.
