Abelr
Okay. So finally got around to installing up/dp and removing the banjo bolt filter. My question is about the copper washer on the banjo bolt. Would it be okay to reuse or should I just purchase a new one before re installation? Honestly I put the whole thing back together then noticed the little copper washer laying on the floor after the fact. Whoops. Least I fought it before I started her. Thanks in advance for the help
08SpecB_DE
It's always a good idea to use new copper washers because they are soft but when in a pinch, reusing the old one works 85% of the time.
Max Capacity
Some have heated the old washer with a small torch, so it grows a bit, then it gives a better crush. But if you had to buy the small propane torch, just buy a new washer from the dealer. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).
