Lego-my-eggo
I've searched and searched, but I haven't found a straight forward answer. If it has been covered somewhere that I have over looked I apologize in advance. Has anyone ever run a 225/45r17 on our 2nd gens? They will be mounted on a 17x7.5 +42 wheel. I know my speedo will be off a little bit and I am rolling my fenders. Any input will be appreciated, thanks. Also pictures would be great! Osei
Attached on 96 OB. But the wheels are 52 offset. Should fit with rolling . Check http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp O.

Lego-my-eggo
Ended up using a 215/45/17. 225/45 were too big in my opinion
mtp69i
Already asked this on the wheel and tyre sticky but out of interest, am I crazy thinking I'll fit a 215 55r17 under my bg liberty wagon? Wheels are +40 offset
Lego-my-eggo
What suspension?
mtp69i
Stock struts with heavy duty king springs which are same as the bg outback I think. I'm many worried about clearing the spring perch. Happy to roll out the guards and trim plastic bits as necessary.
Lego-my-eggo
I'm on wrx wagon struts and sti Perrin lowering spring and my 215/45/17 clear just fine.
mtp69i
Thanks man, 215 45r17 are easy on mine. It's a cavern in the wheel well to be honest. Hoping 55r17 will fill it up and give me a bit more lift on the sand.
mtp69i
Played it safe and went with 215/50r17 Kelly GT Chargers. I put an album up on legacygt here The fronts have loads of clearance but it's pretty tight at the back. I reckon 55r17 with a +40 offset would rub the spring perch with these wheels. AT tyres that cone in at the top a bit might just clear but it would be dicey I reckon.
