drakepeterdrake
I asked my mechanic to get me brighter headlights after one of my lights burned out on my 2005 GT wagon. He found and installed 100w Hella bulbs, which are listed "for off-road use only." He suggested I come back in a month so that we could check the sockets to make sure they were handling the higher wattage OK. Is there anything else to look out for? Thanks. bluesuby
As stated in many previous posts, Candlepower sells Osram 65 watt H7 bulbs which are safe for the harness. They too are marked "off road" use only. I'd hesitate to use 100 watt bulbs except on European cars/trucks which have a heavier duty harness. By the time your mechanic does his check it may be too late. Installation of the headlight bulbs is easy, and Candlepower will ship 2 bulbs for $36 with free shipping. Yo'll have them on Monday. Just make sure you wear latex gloves and/or do not touch the glass surface of the bulbs.

RJ255
100w can also burn the projector bowl and eventually diminish the output severely. Osram Rallye H7 (65w) are a good choice.
