My 2003 Subaru Outback mini project

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I just picked up at the end if the year a 03 outback 5 speed. It was granny owned and unmolested 133xxx miles. A steal off the lot for 500 down and bad credit. I bought this one cause well with bad credit I can exactly get a sti and it was a steal with the miles that low (I live in western wa alot of cars here well over 200k or close to it) after the past few months I don't even want a sti anymore. Here it is As it sat October:

Now after a few months I did a stupid thing and cut the springs. It's not slammed and I love the height but yeah lesson learned the suspension sounds like cap. It rides okay but sound is knarly.

Also added super tone horns 10k hid steering wheel and shifter. Only performance is zip tied filter to box with no cover and 2.25 cat back exhaust. Got a decent burble and throttle response went up really enjoy it just not fast by no means.

Now as she sits:

Started this thread to put in a couple write ups as I go along with the rest of it. Almost got the amount saved and will be ordering a huge list of parts, Not all performance but will put pictures. Also for everyone to enjoy.

So you're a ricer too?

I know this may be hard for you to understand, but you don't have to mod every single car ever just for the sake of modding it. All OEM cars are just fine.

I could suck start a snow blower.

I also did HID's in my headlights and fog lights. The fog lights worked really well but the light pattern on the low beams is atrocious and the dogs are brighter than the low beams. So much so that I'm probably going to go back to regular halogen bulbs

I wonder what his insurance company, and the car's title lienholder, would think about the lack of airbag in a car that he's paying an insurance rate on based on the car having an airbag. I wouldn't be surprised if they refused to pay out med expenses in the event of an accident with injury, and I hate to think of the liability he's opening himself up to if a friend or family member was behind the wheel and was injured in an accident. Genius!
