subi_life
Going to change the spark plugs and maybe coil packs everything seems dry and ready to crack
compsurge
That will definitely play a part in it. Try taping them tightly to the connector with electrical tape. A better idea is to buy new connectors and splice them into the harness.
I Donated Too sigmafour Posted December 26, 2015 I Donated Too Share Posted December 26, 2015 I have two coil pack clips that are broken. They have been broken for three years - wrap a cable tie around them and cinch it snugly and there is no issue. Would be nice to get new connectors and splice them in... I have heard someone did find the housings and you can replace the existing pins/connectors over but still fiddly. Cable ties solve many things. compsurge
It is probably related to the misfiring due to the coil pack not being attached. One thing at a time. If you have a compression tester, now is the time to give it a go.
subi_life
No I don't have one, should I go get it today and do it myself? And what's the rite pressure for each cylinder?
subi_life
So I pulled this off and I was wondering if it looks like it needs to be replaced? And can I switch out the rubber boot for a better high performance one? http://i510.photobucket.com/albums/s349/cameraman_05/Mobile%20Uploads/image_7.jpeg http://i510.photobucket.com/albums/s349/cameraman_05/Mobile%20Uploads/image_8.jpeg http://i510.photobucket.com/albums/s349/cameraman_05/Mobile%20Uploads/image_9.jpeg

compsurge
Sounds good. That connector you showed looks fine. The plug should line the pins up. Glad you got it working.
