hdcolo
. . Hello, , Having done many many engine swaps on the earlier generations I have learned that the recyclers compatibility books for the EJ25 lack alot. . For instance, , The number of bellhousing bolts does not mean one year won't fit another. . And later years and earlier ones still work but the cam pully or crank gear need to be swapped. . Or that you can drill and tap the head on ealier engines to use on EGR models. . . . So here is my question. . I recently purchased an '08 Outback that needs an engine. . People are telling me that the Forester EJ25 won't work in the Outback but no one seems to know what the differences are. . . . Any ideas? ?
