noripooki
I have a 2005 outback auto that I am swapping the engine out with a 2005 legacy from a junk yard. The manifolds looks way different. Is it because one might be California emissions or the junkyard gave me the wrong engine? Are California emissions and federal emission engine interchangeable? If not could I swap out the heads? Osei
Probably an early 05 with the pzev Ca engine. To swap the heads is another $100 in HG., but that is a viable option. Engines from others are swappable, but this is not. You couldn't just take the exhaust system as this header configuration has 5 O2 sensors, which your car is not wired to read. They should swap with another engine. O.
