vmialik
08LGT inlet in place of -> 05 OBXT inlet. The fitting that is closest to the turbo is in question. I have not seen or expected this type of connector, not sure what it is for. But its a bit unique from the new inlet fitting that I am dropping in. http://i.imgur.com/pt88qhB.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Q9UGIc1.jpg This is the original ripped inlet: http://i.imgur.com/TYdjM8Z.jpg http://i.imgur.com/NlyTMKL.jpg 08 LGT with the fitting closest to the turbo being straight: http://i.imgur.com/tFHvT3W.jpg I'm thinking: 1) Find L shaped rubber hose and a nipple coupler that will connect the L shaped hose and the OEM hose connector 2) If the connector is picky (event though aftermarket seem to be regular nipple fittings that connect to the silicone hose) then I would be forced to order OEM from dealership. As the one I got was for $50 I can get OEM for ~$90 or aftermarket for ~$200.. 3) Anyone have any constructive suggestions/warnings.
Tuning Alliance
You can remove the connector, and put a standard hose from there to the inlet. You can also remove the little metal contact inside the connecter and plug it into the female end. It is just a simple jumper. Contact us for all your tuning and performance parts needs! StkmltS
I read that connector is just to verify that everything is hooked up? This past weekend I installed a new Mishimoto inlet on my LGT and I just tucked that little guy up under the intake manifold. My DiySB rebuild Got Misfires? covertrussian
That's the PCV valve's intake run. PCV Valve tees to the intake manifold and to the inlet. Not exactly sure why Subaru did it like this since just about all other turbo cars out there have the PCV valves just go to the intake manifold and not to the turbo inlet. 05 LGT 16G 14psi 290whp/30mpg (SOLD) 12 OBP Stock 130whp/27mpg@87 Oct 00 G20t GT28r 10psi 250whp/36mpg 22 Ascent STOCK
