gregrock1989
Do you guys think it would be safe to run the car without one of the bolts in the water pump? I ended up stripping the thread in one of the bolt holes while trying to install a new water pump.. it's the one on the top rightish. It's a 07 Legacy 2.5i. I put it back together and drove it around for an hour or so.. no sign of leaking coolant yet, but I'm starting to worry if i made a huge mistake in not trying to fix it. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
GEE-OTTO
That area of the gasket isnt going to seal for long or it will hold until the pressure in the systems builds to defeat the gasket. Of all the items to leave half done the water pump isnt one. When you have a chance you should bet that bolt extracted and replaced.
