AccessPort and Open Source Question

Can you flash a map onto an ECU using an AccessPort and then pull that map off the ECU using ECU Flash or ROM Raider?

 

I'm wondering if I can use one of the Cobb base maps as a starting point and then use open source to pull the map off the ECU, edit it and then reinstall it.

Nope, Cobb locks the ECU. Only time you can unlock it is when you remove the Cobb's maps. This is done to protect their intellectual property. But I wouldn't sweat over it, since Cobb's maps are off the shelf generic, your better off getting a custom eTune.
