rodan
Had a little install marathon yesterday: STI UP Cobb DP Perrin EBCS AP iON springs AVO swaybar endlinks STI transmission mount Carbotech Bobcat brake pads Before/after pics are attached. Install of the springs went pretty easily. I used a spring compressor 'rented' for free from Checker Auto. I can't give an exact time, because I spent the whole day working and didn't look at the clock much. Hardes't part of the spring install was removing the lower shock bolt. What a PITA! Anyway, the review: WOW!! :D Thank you everyone who posted a review of these springs that led me to pick them! If you are looking for better handling, less body roll, and less pitching under acceleration while retaining a liveable ride, these are the springs! We have both smooth and very nasty pavement available nearby, and the iONs are an improvement over stock on both. FYI, I am running the stock struts. The passed the wife test with flying colors (I didn't mention the springs before hand because I wanted to see her reaction, and she didn't even comment on them). The Bobcat brake pads are also a significant improvement over stock. Much improved bite and stopping power, and even seemed to help the pedal feel. I have a set of Goodrige lines, but was not able to get the stock lines broken loose (they must torque those things to ~80ft/lbs - I couldn't budge them...), so I set those aside, as it was getting late. The STI trans mount also makes a noticable difference in tightening up the driveline, but does increase NVH... I would still recommend it! mudfoot
looks nice.. congrats I saw in another post that those brake lines are a PITA to take off. someone suggested spraying loosing type lubricant before you attemp to remove. It wasnt WD40 Got Torque ?
rodan
I tried PB Blaster, no effect... What cracks me up is the factory torque spec is around 10 ft/lbs...
