Passenger front CV boot blowing out?

Recommended Posts

That side inner boot is the normal problem child.

Your just getting a cheap after market axle ?

Better luck with the next one.

FWIW I just had both boots replaced on my OEM axle on that side with OEM boots.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

Has anyone else had an issue with aftermarket CVs ripping the outer CV boot?

I've had 2 CVs boots rip on the outer passenger side in the past 3 months:confused:

I'm going to post a Subaru OEM outer that I didn't wind up using in the for sale section.
