gto7419
Just an FYI, the eBay exhaust from cx racing no longer comes with a resonator in the midpipe. It bolts up fine - even on my obxt, but the muffler tips are pressed into the bottom of the rear muffler. Pretty sure its going to melt if I leave it like that so I'm debating cutting off the tips and welding some "downspouts" on.
lingling1337
Would xl hangers help to lower the exhaust any? I was a little annoyed that theres no resonator too, so my cheapest option for a resonated midpipe starts at $550 now
gto7419
I'm sure that longer hangars would work.
Adamn
Try loosening everything up and tightening the mufflers first then working your way towards the front of the car. When I did that it seemed to somehow pull the tips away from the bumper just slightly enough to have them not touch. That and adding the hose clamps to the hangers pulled it away enough that it didn't touch. This at least worked for the Legacy, not sure how much it will help you. Still ended up being too loud for me with the hollow mufflers so I bolted the stocks back on. Can't even tell I have the new mid and y pipe on there now it's so quiet. gto7419
Im trying to move the cans down. Im going to end up buying some longer rubber hangers and call it a day. I debated cutting the tips off and welding on downturns, but thats a lot of work and I really dont care that much.
