Extreamly high voltage?

I was going to go out for a tweak/tune session and drop off some library materials tonight, but i had my first catastrophic failure....:spin:

 

I flashed the car with the latest map.

drove ~5 miles waiting for the car to warm up.

Hit high RPM and both headlights went out. er iu on the display. Car was still running. ABS, battery light on.

Pulled to the side of the road. No low beams, highs/fogs work. Car is having major 'glitches' sometimes the dash works, sometimes not.

 

Diagnose it to my battery peaked at 17+v at higher RPM. :eek:

 

Idle is a normal voltage, rev the car in park and it hits 16+v by 3k rpm.

 

replaced the alternator sense fuse in engine bay. No change.

 

Pulled alternator sense wire/plug. voltage is ~11.6 at idle, climbs to 12.2 at 3k rpm.

 

 

Alternator FUBAR, or other issue?:spin:
