Dxg1997
I can't seem to find any listings for the rears online, and my local pick a part only has a sedan right now. Is there anywhere I can buy quarterpanels? My right has the worst bondo job I've ever seen.
Osei
No. You have to have cut it out from a good unit and use that to replace the section. O.
Dxg1997
My friend works in a body shop and he said the panels are pinchwelded in place? If I find some quarters I can replace them, but that means I have to actually locate one. I did a search for the nearest junkyard that has a Legacy wagon like mine, and it's about 160 miles away -.-
Osei
If he has the knowledge, he can cut it out and fabricate a new section. Subaru's are unit body construction. O.
Dxg1997
I pulled my trim apart and I can just pull the quarterpanel off. I'm just scared to do so because, well, yeah. Don't want to break the car lol
PingPong
If it looks like that now, it's gone further into the second skin of the unibody than the outside quarter. Your best bet is to cut it out and roughly shape in a new quarter in inner panel with sheet metal. Bondo that up and it'll last a few years. Check out the side of the strut tower facing the outside (right and left side) of the car, they might be as bad...
zangado1
No. You have to have cut it out from a good unit and use that to replace the section. O.That is the easiest and cheapest way that I have found from body shop people.
