dralston
I've got to say I thought more would be the same between the engines. I wonder why Subaru didn't just use the STi engine and detune it. Is the Forester XT like this? I think it's been said before but I wouldn't recommend this as a weekend project.
dralston
I'm running into another problem. The throttle body is going to rub very hard against the pictured hose. I can't seem to find out what this hose is in the service manual. Do I need it? j/k. Any thoughts?
CasopoliS
PCV hose? these might help http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=802718&postcount=13 http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=802721&postcount=14 http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=802724&postcount=15 maybe re-route a rubber hose to the source of the hard tube, thus replacing the hard tube? OR cut the 90 degree off the hard tube and make yoru own hose that weaves out of the way?
AK Wagon
This is a metal line. I ran into the same problem and gave a call to my friendly neighborhood Subaru Tech... his response was to get a crow bar and give it a little tweak. This worked fine for me... give a little pressure and then check TB fit, when it slides on you are are good to go. A little scary be it works. clutch
What fuel rails and injectors are used for this swap? Stock or STi? Thanks
AKLGT
LGT has the same injectors as the sti. i used my fuel line without any probs, just have to rework them as they're a PITA! lol i believe the only thing you really need to upgrade w/ this swap will eventually be the brakes. Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah!!!
clutch
Sorry for another dumb question but...for the recirculation hose (for BOV) you can use an 06 WRX or 04/05/06 STi correct? Any other year work? My LGT has this conversion (by previous owner) but was completed with a HKS SSVQ. I want to convert if back to a proper recirc style BOV and want to know my options. Thanks for the help.
AKLGT
well, i don't see why you can just attach the hose to an STI recirc BOV. or is it different in size/shape? Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah!!!
clutch
Oops sorry.... I don't have a recirc hose and I"m triing to purchase one, hopefully from a wrecking yard. Just looking at a Stock STi and the BOV hose has some pretty specific bends to make it all fit. I guess I'm triing to see if there are other EJ20 WRX use the same hose or if its specific to the EJ25. Thanks.
GTWILLY
Talk about bringing back from the dead, but I have one question. Is there any difference between the STI intake manifold and an 03' WRX intake manifold?

GTWILLY
Thank you... I just thought I would ask this question on the Legacy Forum as I thought this was a place for learning... The question pertains to this thread as I am trying to see if my old wrx manifold will swap to my legacy gt.
