I keep ahead of my maintenance. Fix things before they break. It's been a great car. Never let a "mechanic" touch your car and it's amazing how reliable they are.

You do have an 08 which if I recall correctly is much more reliable then what 05-06's were. Most of the issues that I've had with this car were actually Subaru's fault; clogged banjo filters, lean tune, bad wheel bearings, bat bushings, aka nothing that is mechanic's fault honestly.

Everyone and their grandpa has an evo. Baby gas tank and shifty mpg.. The gas station will be part of your DD.

They get similar gas mileage as STI's and what most LGT drivers on here get. They just have a rather small 14g, which makes it seem like they get really bad gas mileage.

I've kept my spec B mostly stockish!

The escort is where i dump my money. I'm rollin $30k deep on that poor car. It's my first car, so it's got sentimental attachment. I'd never get rid of it.

You might as well marry it because you aren't gonna see a penny near what you put into it

I love the EVO too, was my dream car ever since it came stateside. Sentimental value sucks, it's the reason why I keep my 2.5i around, even with the WRX. If it doesn't break the bank and you have the room for it, keep them all. You'll eventually realize what needs to go (I sold my V6 swapped MR2 last year).
