urdrwho
Everything was going well and it was the last idler to install. The threads are shot. Now what? Can I use a heli-coil or a good amount of JB weld into the hole and call it a day. The engine is pushing 330,000 and this may be its last timing belt. johnegg
easy fix. the tensioner bolts on to a bracket. go to a pick n pull and get a used bracket. 90 - 97 are the same, 98+ are the same. ej22 and ej25 are the same.

Osei
Just get the bracket style that matches your tensioner. O.
bjkroll
FYI, you can helicoil practically anything. But if its going into a block, just be sure you know where the debris from the new threads are going! (Such as, spark plug threads leading into a cylinder)
elislider
easy fix. the tensioner bolts on to a bracket. go to a pick n pull and get a used bracket. 90 - 97 are the same, 98+ are the same. ej22 and ej25 are the same. this is correct. only the tensioner is on a bracket. all the other timing idlers are on the block itself, and 1 is on the water pump
