jojorios Posted June 4, 2015 Share Posted June 4, 2015 I have a pair of headlights I had to bake open to reseal and I was thinking about possibly doing passive demon eyes. They have the TRS HID retro's. I just wanted to check what needed to get painted. I just need to paint the plate side facing towards the front of the head light, and the plate the limiter is on? Do I need to do that whole limiter plate or can I just do the top portion right before the solenoid starts? And do I need to paint the area circled in yellow as well? GTEASER Posted June 4, 2015 Share Posted June 4, 2015 From what I understand, you need to paint the lens side, not the bulb side, of the cutoff plate, and that is all. This is something I was planning to do as well, so I am curious with your results. jojorios Posted June 5, 2015 Author Share Posted June 5, 2015 That's what I but what I don't understand is, the limiter "plate" with the solenoid goes on the cutoff plate. and the lens goes on the limiter plate where the 4 screw holes are. So the only thing that I see exposed towards the lens area is the back of that plate with the limiter. Unless I am getting my plates wrong and that actually is the cut off plate. I was going to remove the solenoid and paint it but Morimoto is supposed to be releasing there XC LED Demon Eyes 6/10 according to their instagram.
