apexi
I was looking around under my car today when something caught my eye. It looks like I have a small oil leak coming from the transmission area, but I can't tell what the problem might be. I did some brief searching, and it looks like this could be a shifter seal leak, but I'm not sure. There are no drips on the ground or anything, just what you can see in the attached images. CapnJack
Mine also seeps a little bit. I'm curious to see what others say.
apexi
I researched this a bit more and it does sound like its the shifter seal. It sounds like this is extremely common with subarus, but since it's a lot of work to replace the seal, most people just leave it alone unless it starts to leak a lot. FJuan
Same here, mine has been leaking for years, but not enough for me to do anything about it. If/when I start seeing drips on the floor, is when I'll start thinking about replacing the seal. But, like I said, it's been like this for years. My wife's balls are delicious. ras06LGT
Mine has been leaking for two years. Too much of a pain to deal with, so as long as it doesn't drip on the ground I'm leaving it alone.
GTTuner
Mine has always leaked just enough to capture some dust and make the area moist. Never has it reached the floor.
