Akasa Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 So Michigans roads have taken a toll on my Conti Ex DWS. This tire is known to have a soft side wall, and one rail road track proved that to be the case.. I'm considering a new setup completely, which would consist of 17x8 +45mm wheels wrapped with 225/45r17 (Potenza S04s). Only issue is, does anyone know if these will fit without rubbing on a 05 GT Wagon lowered on a Koni/Swift combo? I just can't roll the rear fenders because rot is starting Springs have an aprox. drop of F -1.2" R -1.0"
whitetiger Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 you'll be fine. everyone runs that size on lowered LGTs.
krzyss Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 225/45R17 fits unmodified GT without a problem. If you can buy Michelin Pilot Super Sport for not much more than S04 go with Michelin. Krzys
KartRacerBoy Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I'm running your proposed wheel setup on my LGT wagon on swifts. No problems.
dave g Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Good choice on the tires. I bought 4 of these because my Kumhos kept getting sidewall bulges. I did not find complaints of S04s having road damage to sidewall, but complaints for Pilot Super Sport were many.
