TYRKA06GT Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I've had the titles issues go unattended for a short time, and now it's time to pass emissions. The CEL throws a p0500 code for speed sensor. Located the bad sensor with a friends OBD scanner and changed out the front left wheel sensor. Went for a drive and the dash still shows everything in the title lit up, and still won't let me go over 4k Rpms. Can anyone shed some light on the situation? Possible I still have more chassis codes thrown. Sorry in advance for digging up an old thread.
ras06LGT Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Did you clear the code after installing the new sensor?
TYRKA06GT Posted April 24, 2015 Author Posted April 24, 2015 I disconnected the battery terminals and reconnected. To no avail. I'm going to take a spin around the city and see if that clears it up.
TYRKA06GT Posted April 24, 2015 Author Posted April 24, 2015 More concerning is the inability to go over 4k rpms, a low idle, and the fan is constantly running
Max Capacity Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Leave the terminal off for like 15-20 minutes. Or step on the brake a few times to drain the current in the system. That will reset the ECU. Any auto parts store will read the CEL for free. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
