Best fitting aftermarket TMIC

Recommended Posts

My stock TMIC has a small boost leak, so am considering the new Grimmspeed or Process West. I have heard of minor rubbing issues with the PW - how common has that been? I have a line on PW with LGT splitter, not sure how well it fits on left hand drive Legacy. Has anyone tried both?

The new Grimmspeed is the latest one out. there's a thread here about it.

I have found that if you leave the turbo loose on the up pipe that allows you a more adjustment. I start the tmic into the TB hose. Oh your new, do everything possible "NOT" to remove the hose from the TB, then start the two bolts in the turbo outlet flange. start the support bracket bolts then tighten the TB hose clap, two bolts at the turbo outlet then the support brackets, then the three bolts/nuts at the up pipe.

FWIW, I bolt the turbo to the up pipe.

I have a IPR tmic on my wagon. I have a GS in the spare bedroom ready to go on my Spec B. Will do that next month.
