Code:20B0 Misfire 1,2,3 And 4

My Friend and mechanic calls me yesterday morning saying that his wife's 05 Outback 2.5i is staling and shutting off in low RPM's and idol. code on one OBD2 scanner is 20b0 (misfire piston 1,2,3 and 4) and on another scanner reads 0032. i checked the forum and Google with no luck finding any answers. he calls me in the afternoon and tells me he found the problem at the EGR Valve, there was a peace of carbon the size of a rice grain inside the valve keeping it in the open position. He Removed the peace of carbon with a screwdriver and the valve shut closed, so he cleaned it and put it back in and no more code and problem solved.
