stevenva Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 I have Infinity FX45 projectors in my Subaru. It uses D2S bulbs. Currently has Morimoto XBs 4500K. They are OK for now, but might pull the trigger if the Osrams mentioned are far superior RIP 96 Legacy 2.2 4EAT lost reverse @ 374,000 miles
MiniStiGuy Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 I haven't tried them myself as I also run XB's in 5k. In looking at the pics and reviews on Hidplanet.com it seems that the CBi's are still more desirable for a bulb. They claim the NB's are to "yellow" and not pure enough white. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro

300zx2g35 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Haven't seen the NightBreakers but I'm running the CBIs in my current FX-R retrofit and they are amazing! No pics of the output though....been too lazy lol
stevenva Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 I'm wary of the hidplanet. They promote their mother site T.R.S. a lot. RIP 96 Legacy 2.2 4EAT lost reverse @ 374,000 miles
RJ255 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 The Nightbreakers are definitely better bulbs that the Morimotos. They will be brighter and more precise, if you're willing to spend the money. I've seen them both in person and there's definitely a big difference. By the way, not everyone is a TRS supporter on HIDplanet.
stevenva Posted April 27, 2015 Author Posted April 27, 2015 I pulled the trigger on the Osram D2s 66240CBIs. Turns out that U.S. vendors can't really sell the Osram Xenarc 66240XNB. They have the European ECE approval but are not D.O.T. approved. RIP 96 Legacy 2.2 4EAT lost reverse @ 374,000 miles
MrTris Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I thought I had read (Amazon reviews) that the Silverstars are actually reboxed Osram CBIs? That was the consensus on HIDplanet, although at that price you might as well get CBIs from TRS or other legitimate sellers for $185/pair I pulled the trigger on the Osram D2s 66240CBIs. Turns out that U.S. vendors can't really sell the Osram Xenarc 66240XNB. They have the European ECE approval but are not D.O.T. approved. We sell them (LightWerkz) and so does TRS, and actually ECE is technically better than DOT because of tighter standards, and also no one would be able to really know.
