Led Tail Light Retrofit. Has anyone done it yet?

I am referring to a full retrofit job, Not just replacing the regular bulbs with LEDs. I would expect having to completely disassemble/split the lenses from the housings.

I've been thinking about doing it, but only once I buy JDM lights haha

 

If I do it, i'll be sure to take plenty of pictures and make a write up

Just for inspiration, this is a CRX converted to electric(EV) with LED lights.

He also has it set up to say On/Off when it's charging/plugged in.
