RRH
Is this recommended? Will I need spacers? I'm finding the stock speakers lacking and I just want to upgrade the 4 door speakers.
MaasaiWarrior
Yup spacers required, I've had it in my car for the year I've owned it. Pretty solid upgrade, but I have a jdm dual din kit to install my hu. So yes it will help with the sound, but your speakers will only put out the best of the quality that it's fed 08 Spec B, insta: @08_spec_b, 10 SH Forester insta: @shfozzy
Holla
You'd be better off leaving the rear speakers stock and investing in an amp and components for the front, or do all 4 and get a 4 channel amp. You really need more power to take advantage of upgraded speakers. Amps are cheap these days. I run a 4x100 Pioneer which was only $140 brand new, works great. RRH
Ok so I picked up some kicker 40CS654 from Crutchfield. Just doing the front speakers for now as my passenger is getting close to blowing. Leaving the backs stock for now with stock tweeters. I'll see if I'd like to upgrade afterwards. I feel as if the fronts are the most important. Should i upgrade tweeters too? Holla
Those Kicker's you're looking at are coaxial speakers, they already have a tweeter built into them.
