Chulew
My car is not turbo. Does anyone have experience with using the GT hardware (fork, sleeve, TO bearing) on the 2.5i? Would changing over help extend the life? Why can't they make a TO bearing to last as long as the clutch? I'm having to replace it every ~70k. Lastly, do I really need a special bearing for my TSK1? I can't tell any change in diameter down the length of the sleeve with a micrometer yet manufacturer (http://pdmusa1.com/subaru.aspx) says only his will work properly due to this tapering (at 2X price). I'm polling the N/A community on TO bearing longevity here: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/often-does-your-clutch-and-throw-out-bearing-faili-237452.html
Akasa
I can't really help with you on the GT hardware on the 2.5i, sorry. Though, you absolutely do need a different TOB if you use the TSK kit as the TSK kit is a sleeve that goes over the input snout, increasing overall diameter. Nightmaresmk
Their is no mythical throw out bearing that lasts. flaw with the design. If you have a tsk kit you need to use the tsk throwout bearing. TSK bearing is slightly better than oem
