eclegacyguy
I have a 1994 Legacy wagon with 240K miles on it. It has been a great car but the tail lights stopped working. All other lights work. It blew one fuse. I replaced that and the lights went out again. I replaced the fuse..nothing, the relay..nothing. I am trying to test the switch. I am using a Haynes manual and have found the connection but none of the wire colors in the diagram correspond to the colors in the book. Does anyone have any ideas or an accurate wiring diagram? eclegacyguy
I gave up finding a wiring diagram and took it to a local shop. They said it was the emergency flasher switch. They cleaned the terminals and the lights worked. Cost me $68.
DonnyJagaru
I don't know about the older wagons, but newer ones can have a problem with the wires wearing out in the umbilical that runs between the car and the rear hatch. I wouldn't think a dirty terminal on a flasher unit would cause a fuse to blow repeatedly.
