MBrennan Posted January 28, 2015 Share Posted January 28, 2015 08 LGT limited 5eat 112000k I got the car back a couple of weeks ago from the shop as they had to replace a #4 burnt valve which took 5 weeks to complete. After driving it a couple of weeks, once in a great while ill get a harsh shift. I think its happened both up and down shifting. This has happened under normal driving conditions with a fully warmed up car. This has happened after driving for 2 straight hours or a 20 min ride. The fluid condition and level seems to be fine. Im pretty certain that prior to the engine work the trans shifted smooth. Maybe my spidey senses are zeroing in on every little thing due to the work that was done? Max Capacity Posted January 28, 2015 Share Posted January 28, 2015 I gather its a 5eat. Could a vacum leak, caused by a cracked hose cause the issue ? I'm not up on 5eats, I'm just guessing. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
