Look into a product called "Fluid Film." Some garages may offer services of spraying the underside and getting it into all the nooks & crannies (like into the doors, hood, and other little crevices prone to storing moisture). A couple of my friends in New England swear by it. If you have a powered sprayer and a lift, you can do it yourself too. Just make sure the area is well-ventilated and that you've got a face-mask + eye protection on. Also, the smell sticks around for a few days, then disappears.

So I found a guy in Wappingers Falls, NY who uses Fluid-Film but he's asking $300 for a first time application and $250 for follow-ups. This includes what he calls a heavy duty cleaning but it still seems a bit steep. Here is his Craigslist ad.

What do you think of the price?

I may very well do that next season but not this one. I found a place in NW CT that does the job for $100. I'm also going to be in Princeton Junction next Saturday, did you happen to get yours done in your area?
