Jota Pe Posted November 20, 2014 Share Posted November 20, 2014 I have a 2011 3.6 with a little over 62k on it. A couple of times now the oil light has come on for low level. To which I check and, holy shit, it looks empty. Dump 2 quarts in and back to full level. Now I do my oil changes every 4k. How is it that a 6.9qt system can eat through 2 qts in less than 3k miles? What is considered "normal oil consumption" for this motor? Put it on a lift and there are no visible oil leaks, Heads and valve covers look good. Nothing from the crank seals either.
