TDWPgtp
I purchased a Gates timing kit for my 2000 Legacy, and upon inspecting the new bearings in all of the pulleys and gear, I noticed that they do not spin nearly as freely as the ones that I am replacing. In fact, they seem rather difficult to spin. They are not locking up, but it *feels* like they have very thick grease in them. Is this normal? will they loosen up after running a bit? Thanks in advance
FJuan
Yes, that is very normal. That is correct, they are packed with heavy grease and the bearings have not been worn down. If it spins freely and hear the bearings = worn If it's very smooth to turn (may not spin freely), with no bearing sounds = good My wife's balls are delicious. TDWPgtp
That is what I figured, but I wanted to make sure before I put it all together and broke the belt or something. Thank you very much
