Rear diff spewing oil

2005 2.5i. I think they have different rear diffs than lgts? I have diff oil all underneath the undercarriage of my car by the trunk.

Went to check the diff oil. There was basically nothing. Filled it with GM 80 weight oil (I know not the right kind) to see where it was leaking out. Put some cardboard under it to see any leaks. Not a drip. Start driving it and spewed oil all underneath. I didn't notice any by the axle seals or drive shaft. Is it the diff gasket itself?

I'm thinking you must have a hole in the case.

Make sure the cover bolts are tight. Doesn't make sense unless theirs a crack.

look here to find the picture.
