jcs
At first I thought my mileage had improved...then I realized the gauge is stuck on F. Anyone have any ideas? I disconnected/connected battery. No change. The gauge cycles up/down on start up as usual. Just goes to full. I just had to change the alternator. Any chance that had anything to do with it? 05 LGT LtD Wagon 5MT thanks! 1055
fuel level sending unit. 9 years of garbage in the tank corroding the terminals, bet its stuck up. Take it out and clean the contacts, or just replace it. Its basically a rheostat resistor, so there is always the chance that one side of the circuit is shorted to ground or positive.. but most likely the sending unit. firehawk618
Lift the fuel pump access under the rear seat. Unplug the electrical connector. If the gauge now goes to empty you have found your culprit. 10' CTS-V, A6, Airraid, 2.4 upper, ID850's, self tuned. SOLD:06' LGT Wagon.
