wagomaniac
So I bought some injectors on Ebay from a seller who claimed they are OEM. However, there were some differences than the stock injectors that I had on. My stock ones look like this: http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/knigluis6/photo3.jpg They have the number 4611 on the top and they have 6 holes. But the ones I received look like this: http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/knigluis6/WP_20140725_002.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/knigluis6/WP_20140725_001.jpg They have the number 1215 on the back and only have 4 holes. When I contacted the seller about it. He said, " I can assure you these are 100% good as if not better than the original injectors from 12 years ago. The spray pattern is a FOR SURE upgrade. I have talked to many factory reps about that very issue. Back then they thought the only way to disperse the fuel effectively was many smaller holes...they have learned that they clog easily. Better to have a few less but shaped a special way to disperse fuel better...these injectors have a 30% BETTER atomization of the fuel that the original ones." I wanted to get your guys' opinion. Is he right or full of shit?
wagomaniac
Also, does anyone know what the part # for the T25 screw for the injectors? Or where to find replacements?
Moderators BarManBean Posted July 25, 2014 Moderators Share Posted July 25, 2014 Unfortunately, without having them flow tested you may never know. If they flow differently you'll likely need a tune. Moderators BarManBean Posted July 25, 2014 Moderators Share Posted July 25, 2014 That said, if the ebay seller claimed they're OEM and they are NOT, I don't see much issue--just send em back and get a refund if that's what you want. Maybe you can vet the seller a bit and find feedback of someone else installing a similar set of injectors?
