jp233
Interesting... I'm interested. Yeah what parts did you use, front LCAs, rear arms, etc?
natetru
The struts and springs were from a 98 forester. Then i copied the sjr 4 inch lift. This was 4 inch stut lift plus a drive train drop of 3 inches. Kept near same angle on the cv axles. Then 30 mm wheel spacers to get the forester steel wheels wrapped in yokohama ats 215/70r15 to clear. Running without sway bars.
96outback
Could you share a picture of what you did to lower the drive train? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
natetru
Honestly. I wouldnt build it on my own again....a ton of cut and try....i would buy scotts kit from. http://www.sjrlift.com you make spacers to lower control arms, crossmembers, etc. Scott is an excellent person to speak to if you would like more info..... And then spent a week making all these pieces and makijg them fit correctly http://www.sjrlift.com/index.php/catalog/lift-kits/0-4-lift-kit-ej-fits-90-99-detail
ztrain727
Looks great! I'm dying to do this, but it's a bit more than I have time for right now. Were the cv angles pretty extreme before the drive train drop? I've heard 2" is about the max you want to go without it...
natetru
I did it all at the same time so i cant tell you for sure.... i would have to think it was though because i previously had 1 inch spacers and forester struts and it appeared to be as much as i would want to stretch the cv
