apexi
I wasn't exactly sure where to put this thread, so I just threw it in the general fourth gen legacy section. Got in my car tonight after leaving the grocery store, and heard the sounds below as I started to drive away. If you don't want to listen to the sounds clips, it was a scraping/screeching sound while I drove around, regardless of whether I applied the brakes or not. I had no idea what the sound was, and first thought the dust/splash shield behind the rotor had cracked/bent and was hitting the rotor itself, or maybe a brake pad clip rubbing against the rotor. Outside car, easier to hear. http://home.comcast.net/~apexigsx/subaru/brakerock1.m4a Inside car, a little harder to hear. http://home.comcast.net/~apexigsx/subaru/brakerock2.m4a Long story short, a small rock was stuck between the back of the brake rotor, and the rotor dust/splash shield. Redryan98
nice. hopefully this prevents someone from taking the car to a shop and getting a huge diag fee or for parts the car doesn't need.
