diesel2wd
if you produce a lot of heat in your headers, i.e. RED HOT, then just pick a good graphite coated one, make sure you apply it correctly. we use graphite coated on our race car, g-body monte carlo, and its never failed, frayed, burnt through, but it takes awhile to apply, cant rush it, and READ THE DIRECTIONS, don't just slap it on, I suggest having the header OFF the car when you apply. the stuff we use is mid price graphite coated. cant remember the name, same wrap on headers for 3 seasons now. mnstrmech
I just wrapped my exhaust manifold with the DEI Titanium wrap. I pulled the stock heat shields, wrapped and re-installed the shields to hold it on place. Big improvement in under hood temp, even though i drive easily. http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s305/sadiemaerogers01/0615141045_zps87714f93.jpg
diesel2wd
that's a good looking job man, if I wrapped my header, I'd have to just huck the shields in the trash, they're THAT bad.
mnstrmech
Oh, i should add that to me, it made a tiny reduction in exhaust noise, as in slightly quieter under the hood.
