H O O N
Hey there guys, Sorry to be a pain, but I'm really keen on debadging my 2006 Subaru Liberty (2.5L) I've read that there are TWO holes behind the badge going into the boot to keen the badge on there (cause subaru is a solid brand and they dont want u removing the badges in the first place, got that) but has anyone done it? the big blue badge taken off? are there two holes? if so, what can we do to patch it up (not to look dodgy or cheap in anyway... maybe wrap or plug of some description? pleaseeeee help! Thanks, Rob.
turboSz
People have taken the Subaru emblem off, yes...but you are also correct that there are two big holes where the logos post's used to be. To be honest, I would just leave the emblem on there, it's a lot of trouble to go through just for removing an emblem. If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to remove it so badly? They make overlays for the badge to spice it up, including different colors and even letter. Example...http://www.grafxwerks.com/shop.php?part=LEGT2 I suppose if you really are keen on removing it, my solution would be to get some Bondo Body Filler and plug up the holes as smoothly as possible and then get one of the paint touch up pens to make it look normal. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/3M-1-gal-Bondo-lightweight-filler/_/N-25u5?itemIdentifier=167014_0_0_
WhiteMonster06
I de-badged everything except the Subaru Emblem because of the holes. It's just not worth it to me. For the others, take a hair dryer to it and use dental floss to cut the glue behind the letters. Use windex and your finger to scrape up the excess. GTEASER
GooGone for removing the left over adhesive. And if you don't have floss, fishing line works too. MrTris
I used fishing line on mine and then multiple rounds of Machine Polish 3, 2, and 1, plus a wax.
