  2. The assumption is your type of driving and cost analysis. Is one leasing their car? Then whatever. Are you financing your car and if so is it something you trade in or keep? Are you a performance driver who enjoys driving a car and maybe put it through its paces? Don't think for a second that since it's a Subaru, that recommended service intervals, marketing, finance programs and cost cutting are mutually exclusive. To each their own. But from personal experience, machines love maintenance. It's up to,you to determine the cost ratio.
  3. Do yourself a favor. Send that 10k oil out for analysis. With a 10k to 25k interval the cost of analysis is negligible. I'll tell ya, IF you do your own fluid changes, don't ever wait more than 5k.

  12. Don't know yet. We are still testing it.
  13. All will be answered....if you buy a kit.
  14. Rides nice. Just finished this weekend so tires and wheels are next. The rear use Megan adjustable links and arms. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/Project%20XTi/2%20Inch%20Lift%20Kit/20141021_182527_zpsd9aghp3q.jpg
  15. 2" Strut Spacer, 1.5" body/subframe lift. And a couple of custom bits to make everything fit nicely. Working on making another kit now if anyone is interested. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/Project%20XTi/2%20Inch%20Lift%20Kit/IMG_20141014_182250_zps6zhwjrdp.jpg

  18. So after a bunch of trips I can report it does have a slightly nicer tone but only in the upper rev ranges.
  19. Picked up a set of GT Mufflers for a different project but decided to document the fitment for people who are curious about installing them on an Outback. 2008 Outback 2.5i http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_125438_zpsuntwb8xg.jpg 2005 Legacy GT Mufflers http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_125117_zpsndzd0p4o.jpg Stock GT Muffler bolted on. The rear bumper pushes the tip down and stretchs the hanger. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_131152_zpsvhjk0vsf.jpg http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_131205_zpslflavubm.jpg If you remove the exhaust tip it will fit properly on the hangers, however your Outback Bumper will need to trimmed. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_125133_zpsyxlfburr.jpg http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_132300_zpsd1ydyrue.jpg http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_132306_zpszpk8e328.jpg You have 12" from the can to a point just past your bumper cover, and 6" from the tip sans finisher to a point just past your rear bumper cover. I just had my bumper painted so I wasn't interested in cutting it today. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_141104_zps2e9vpqlc.jpg http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_142032_zpsdmepgbib.jpg I welded on some new tips. The ID of the tips fit snugly over the stock tip nub which flares from 2" to 2.5" at its widest. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_145857_zpswrdbm6bx.jpg All Mounted http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_155104_zps274yfgxo.jpg All done. It doesn't sound much different than stock but there is an ever so slightly better throttle response. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag47/boxerwerks/2008%20Outback%2025i/Exhaust/IMG_20140628_155057_zpsgqks0anw.jpg
