My legacy GT came with a K&N typhoon air intake and recently the cel came on. The ecu has not been tuned after the intake was installed, the cel code said cylinder 3 misfire. I'm wondering if there is a link between the intake and the cel or if it's another problem. I don't know much about cars but I'm slowly learning, and would appreciate not being talked down to, haha

You'll want to contact Dave at Cryo Tuned, PM him at "cryo" He's close to you.

 

The CEL is not related to the CAI.

 

Most of don't use a CAI, the stock one is hard to beat.

Your going to want to have the car tuned and get it off the factory MAP.

 

Most misfires are a bad injector or bad coil, pick one and swap it with another and see if the CEL follows it.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
