Xenonk
Quick question regarding the boot and non-OEM MOMO knobs: When you say the boot might sag, how bad do you mean and does anyone have any pics of a non-OEM MOMO knob with the stock boot? This is the best pic I have when I had the Momo CF Shot in my GT: http://www.speedoptions.com/members/38458/40461/pic9.jpg http://www.speedoptions.com/members/38458/40461/pic10.jpg Mine didnt sag because the leather shift boot was still stiff since the car was still new. Xenonk
Patagonian: That is a very nice looking knob. I like the clean look. starlabs: I love the way that looks and am leaning towards the silver carbon knob like that. Good to know there are easy ways to custom fit the boot. EDIT: Xenonk, still have that carbon shot knob and interested in selling? I sold it for $75 to a Jetta owner and we cut his stock shaft down by like 3" so now he has a short shifter. TSiWRX
Vahkil - I'll put up a pic or two of my setup soon....sorry, digicam has been on the fritz - still owe a brother some measurement shots on another part, too. Much of this "gap" depends on exactly which knob you choose, as Keefe cited. My current setup, with the MOMO F16 Evo-Wood, I don't even really need to do anything, as I don't have much of a gap at all. But this is a physically "long" knob. In addition to Brothers PGT and starlabs' great suggestions, you can also go to your local auto parts store and obtain some rubber grommets of various diameters, and these can easly be used to either tuck-down (with the grommet serving as a "cuff" on the outside of the boot, you can use this if you like to have a bit of the stalk/lever showing http://www.dsmtuners.com/classifieds/data/4/44712interior.jpg - I had this setup on my TSi, so I could show off the polished stalk on my B&M) or hold-up the leather boot around the shift knob (better to go "underneath" the leather, and use the grommet to keep the boot "up"). And here's another great thread: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13325&highlight=delrin - and even with in his thread, smoss has a very easy, and very practical suggestion, too. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family

Vahkil
I got the MOMO Race Satin Aluminum knob and installed it today. I like the look of the all silver and I think it matches the exterior and interior of my silver sedan nicely. Here are some pics: http://home.comcast.net/~locdogg/Car/knobtop.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~locdogg/Car/knobprofile.jpg I need to make something with a washer or soda bottle cap to keep the boot up as suggested here. It doesn't sag too much, but I am a perfectionist and will want it on there sturdy. Thanks for all the help, -V
Xenonk
it's fine the way it is, just dont burn your hand on it during the hot months. Looks clean and good. Keefe
starlabs
Nice choice! Looks like a very clean design. Interestingly, didn't see that particular model at all when I was looking around for my own shift knob (and I looked at plenty of places online). Congrats, looks like you got an uncommon one. Just watch your hands during the summer. Playing with a hot knob is dangerous. -=- Livin life at 140 BPM -=-
