'04 Legacy Wagon (BP5)

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, thought I better start a build/progress thread for my latest purchase.

2004 Legacy GT

165,000KM. 5EAT.

STi Exhaust

STi Genome Defi Controller w/ Defi Boost Gauge

Blitz Turbo Timer

CUSCO Adjustable Coilovers

Prodrive/OZ Racing 17X7 Rims

CUSCO Front Strut Brace

Best 1/4 Mile - 14.31 SEC (chinese street tires)

It's STi trimmed, STi badges, STi interior(seats and mouldings), larger intercooler and turbo. But i'm not sure if it's an STi as such, because it doesn't have the front lip, STi grill, etc.

Plans -

Reflashed ECU and run a bit more boost (currently 1.2 bar)

19 or 20" WEDS Kranze or similar big spoke wheel.

Lower it alot more.

Add a few more STi items, more cosmetic such as the grill, front lip etc.

Larger intercooler, free up the front end of the exhaust (up/down pipe).

Baffle the sump for the odd track day I decide to attend.

A few photos I've taken this week.

Nice wagon - had it in my watchlist on TM ;)

Imho it's a basic model with some extras, not a "tuned by STI". What turbo/intercooler does it have?

Took the old girl down the 1/4 mile last night, first run out was 15.090. After playing with gear changes, how much to load up the torque converter etc I got it down to a 14.31. I'll try upload the time slips later on.

Buffed and polished the windows today, realised afterwards I didn't have any RainX so that'll get applied tomorrow.

I didn't take any before shots, but every window was covered in waterspots and acid rain. Damn Jap imports.

For those interested, this was my last project.

EF7 CRX, Spoon SW388 wheels, forged B20VTEC. I sold the chassis and motor seperatly, so unfortunately I never got to see what it could do. But predictions were 150+KW and 12 or so seconds on street tires.
