Nickup1 Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 In my 99 legacy 2.5 5mt my clutch pedal just stopped working. I came home from an oil change earlier and it was fine but now I can push in the clutch and it feels normal and I can start my car but it won't go into gear. Ideas? Stevo F Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 That's your clutch's slave cylinder. It sounds like it is engaging your clutch OK, so the problem is with the clutch itself or the transmission (I've no experience with neither the latter two, but I had changed out slave cylinders on my Nissan truck a couple of times). Stevo F Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 If you had air in the lines it wouldn't engage the slave cylinder or will barely move it enough to engage the clutch. Also you would need to push the pedal in more than normal before it will engage the clutch (because you'd be compressing the air in the lines).
