Plasti Dip Party

Recommended Posts

So the last couple weekends, my girlfriend and I have been having a little plasti dip party..:spin: We have dipped both sets of our rims, emblems, grills, roof rails, and basically anything else that was chrome, or not already black.

This weekend we decided to tint our tail lights using plasti dip products. We started with 5-6 coats of "smoke", then finished off with a few coats of the glossifier. I think they turned out awesome.

I also wanted to cover up my front licenses plate holes, but I didn't want to spend $50+ on a piece of aluminum that said cobb on it. So I made my own for next to nothing using acrylic, plasti dip, and my cobb sticker I got with my AP v3.

Here are some of the results. Plasti Dip is an awesome product that is easy to use, and very forgiving. If anyone wants information on how we did it, or would like to see some prep pictures let me know!

The first two pictures are after shots. The level of darkness seems to change with the angle and how bright it is outside. I also threw the stock exhaust back on because I was sick of the huge cans sticking out way past my bumper.

Me doing this? Haha yeah right.. Previous owner did, and when I bought it I made sure the stock CBE came with it. It was just a matter of having garage space to change it back because this (see picture) has been stuck in the garage for the last couple months..
